Get Your Holiday Off to A Headstart By Reading Our FAQs
Q: Upon arrival, once I’ve turned off the highway onto your farm drive, where do I go from there?
A: Follow the single track tarmac road for 400 meters until you see a left-hand turn signposted Caravan Park (there are three car & caravan- sized passing points at on the way up the drive and so, in the event of meeting another car, there is room to pass each other).
Take the left fork signposted Caravan Park and drive another 150 meters and you’re at the site entrance. Park in front of the barrier and our reception building is in front of you!
In the event of arrival after the hours of darkness, the arrival area has low-level lighting for your safety and convenience.
Q: Your pitches are advertised as hard standing and fully serviced- what does this mean and are there any extra charges for the various facilities?
A: All of our Pitches are recycled MOT Type one stone, leveled and rolled, topped off with pea gravel and measure 8 m x 6m with grass areas and, in most cases, hedges around them.
There are bigger pitches available for large units of 9.5 m plus available on request. There are a water tap and grey water drain in the back left ( as you look at the pitch from the front) corner of each pitch and a 16 amp electric hook up within easy reach.
Awnings are easily erected using steel pegs or equivalent. There are three separate heated shower and toilet facilities spread around the site, as well as two wash up areas. The site fees include the use of ALL facilities- there are no extra charges.
Q: The site is advertised as being peaceful and in the middle of Warwickshire farmland. Is there any road/train/ air/ noise pollution?
A: As is the case with just about all areas of Warwickshire these days, we are affected by some noise pollution, from time to time, according to wind direction.
As we are 600 m from any road it is not especially disturbing to visitors generally, and most that we ask say that they don’t really notice it.
Yes, the site is in the middle of Warwickshire Farmland! The land adjacent to the site has horses, hens, ewes, and lambs grazing it from April to the end of October.
Q: How far is the site from the nearest village and is it within walking distance?
A: The site is 1.5 miles from Harbury. If you use our farm/ dog walk ( available during daylight hours) as a shortcut then it becomes much shorter, 1 mile approx, taking you onto Middle Road and then up to Harbury itself.
Proper footwear for walking is a necessity and care should be taken on Middle Road as it is a village thoroughfare.
